 Appleton Place & Mount Pleasant Cemetery

18-20 Appleton Place (right), childhood home of Ellen O'Toole and her parents  Richard and Agnes Tierney.

Front view (street side) of the Ryder/Tierney home. This is a two-family house. The first floor was occupied by owners Thomas and Annie Ryder (Agnes' sister). Agnes and Richard Tierney occupied the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Side view of the home. Present owners purchased the house in 2001, and the "finished area" is 2,222 sq feet. Tax value is listed at $345,500.

Mount Pleasant Cemetery

   

The final resting place of Agnes & Richard Tierney and their son John R (Bud). The two graves are barely visible, just above and slightly to the left of the middle gravestone shown at the bottom of the picture. The graves of Richard and Agnes (right) and John (Bud) on the left. Mount Pleasant Cemetery, located in the heart of Arlington, is an exceptionally beautiful and well-maintained facility.
